The Position will be primarily responsible for preliminary desktop and mobility support, diagnostics and on-site resolution include workstations and mobile device repair (excluding cell phones), peripherals, printing, and software applications in both Windows and Apple platforms.
The Position will provide secondary bench support for desktop and mobile device repairs; and set-up of on-site testing facilities.
In addition, this position requires frequent (daily) travel within district boundaries.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Preferred: Associates degree (A. S.) in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field.
Preferred: MS Support & Apple Support Certifications
A+ Certification desired, (must be willing to obtain within 1 year of hire)
3 years experience providing client side desktop and mobile support of personal computers
Considerable knowledge of computers and computer-based systems, including Microsoft Office Professional software.
Valid Indiana Driver’s License

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Troubleshoots, installs, repairs, and maintains client side computers and related equipment within the computer network
Utilizes work ticket system or appropriate call tracking system to prioritize and dispatch; accurately documents work effort; and contributes to the accuracy of a knowledge database
Provides technical advice, guidance and informal training to customers using hardware and software programs
Utilizes Remote Access to diagnose and resolve issues when appropriate
Recommends procedures and controls for problem prevention, improvements to operating procedures, assists in writing and maintain procedure manuals
Assists with device management tools and architecture in order to provide efficient distribution of updates, software packages, and device management
Works in a team setting, sharing information, assisting others with calls; and maintains an orderly and safe working environment
Operates motor vehicles safely and responsibly
Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
Ability to effectively present information in reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals and respond to questions from groups of managers, employees, and the general public
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing with school personnel, employees, and central office staff
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
