Itinerant Teacher of the Hearing Impaired--The teacher will serve multiple students in grades preschool through 12th in multiple school buildings. Service to students includes teaching audition, language, and literacy skills, advocating for student access in the general curriculum, troubleshooting amplification equipment concerns, consulting with teachers and other staff, and attending meetings about student progress. The schedule of services and other responsibilities will be at the teacher's discretion given the caseload and required duties. The position reports to the Exceptional Children Department, and there are monthly staff meetings with the other itinerant teachers.
