SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Support the district in all legal matters pertaining to the execution of its mission. The Assistant General Counsel will collaborate with the Superintendent, General Counsel and other team members in addressing risk management, litigation, contract review, and other legal issues as they arise, in a professional manner that represents the District in the most positive light.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend instructions, policies, procedures, and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one, small group, and large group situations.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to compute mathematically in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Capability to relate effectively with racially and ethnically diverse staff, students, and community.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Licensed to practice law in the State of Indiana.
