The Student Records Associate oversees physical student records for Indianapolis Public Schools. This associate will coordinate record movement between schools and the district; organize, file, store, and access records for families; fulfill education verification requests from external partners; and process transcript requests from students and graduates.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinating record movement – the associate will be the liaison between the district and schools to ensure school-bases staff know how to keep, organize, and transfer files as needed;
Organization of active and historical files – the associate will oversee all physical records under the district’s care and will develop a new organizational system for the streamlining, retaining, and distribution of student records as needed;
Provide educational records to partners – the associate will provide verification of education to external entities as requested;
Provide records and transcripts to students and alumnae – the associate will provide records and transcripts to students and alumni including producing official transcripts;
Foster positive relationships with internal and external constituents – including strong customer-service interaction with families as they seek support from Indianapolis Public Schools;
And other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:
High School diploma or GED equivalent required. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
None required. Language Skills:
Bilingual (primarily Spanish) preferred to assist with limited English speaking customers. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers.
To perform this job successfully an individual should be knowledgeable of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.
